Transport Planning Consultant
Ronald Mukunde is a Transport planning consultant at the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy where he joined in 2021. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Highway and Transportation Engineering from the American University of Beirut. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Before joining ITDP, Ronald worked in both Public and Private sector in Uganda, as well as international organizations such as UN-Habitat in Beirut, Lebanon. He was involved in conceptual design of the Beirut Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project while working with SETS International consultants.
His work experience has mainly been in Infrastructure projects design, management, and research, as well as transport economics and financial monitoring processes of projects. He has been part of several projects that include Traffic Impact assessments, Traffic modelling, Pavement design and project management. He is an experienced user of GIS, EMME transport planning and modelling software, TransCAD, Civil 3D and AASHTO Pavement-Me design software. Ronald is passionate about Transport planning and sustainable infrastructure design.
