The launch of The Ethiopia E-mobility Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025-2030 marks a significant milestone in Ethiopia’s commitment to sustainable transportation, climate action, and the transition toward clean mobility solutions. Developed through extensive collaboration with government institutions, development partners, private-sector actors, and civil society organisations, the strategy provides a comprehensive roadmap to accelerate electric mobility adoption across the country.
As global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions accelerate, Ethiopia is positioning e-mobility as a key pillar for building a cleaner, more efficient, and more inclusive transport system. The strategy outlines priority actions to strengthen EV infrastructure, support transit-oriented urban development, enable investment, and advance an integrated approach to sustainable mobility.
The launch event will convene representatives from government ministries, international development organisations, financial institutions, research institutions, industry leaders, and civil society to discuss opportunities for collaboration and implementation.
